Red king crab

Red king crab is a crustacean that are harvested as a source of meat. They are found in oceans all around the word. This also explains a lot given the fact that most of Americas food comes from the waters( Alaska). Red kind crab is very sweet, moist, rich and succulent. Also, they are the largest of the king crab species  and the most potent flavor. It’s truly a luxurious commodity and is almost exclusively served in high-end restaurants.

The red king has a regal look to it. Its pointy shell looks like a pointy crown draped in a lavish crimson gown. One of its claws are bigger than the other, which could be mistaken for a scepter, but is actually used to crush the red king’s prey. Their color can be brown through a bluish red, but they are much redder than their counterparts the blue king crab.

In addition, The highly adaptable crab feeds on bottom-dwelling animals and algae alike. King crab is low in saturated fat and a good source of vitamin B12.

Each time a crap molts, it has the ability to regenerate. This is within a period of one year in the adult crap zone due to the seasonal molting of adult females in falls and adult males in winter.
